The Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance (PACA) is a co-op whose members are worker co-ops, food co-ops, housing co-ops, artist co-ops, credit unions, energy co-ops, and school co-ops in the Philadelphia region. We’re also a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to growing the cooperative economy and building a movement for economic justice.
What is a co-op?
» a co-op is a business
» a co-op is democratically owned by its members
» a co-op is democratically controlled on a one-member, one-vote basis
You can start a cooperative business with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
The Philadelphia region has a long history of coming together to meet shared goals.
PACA is a cooperative, too! Our members are diverse cooperatives and credit unions in the Philadelphia region.
