Each year, PACA co-op members nominate and elect new board members to serve on PACA’s board of directors. Now through September 27th, PACA’s Nominating Committee will be accepting nominees (individuals who are member-owners or worker-owners of PACA member co-ops) to fill four at-large board positions.
Who are we looking for to serve?
Considering PACA’s current and anticipated needs, we welcome nominees with one or more these experiences: non-profit finances, fundraising at the grassroots and/or foundation level, have skills in organizational development and people who are working class, low income, or experiencing poverty.
PACA’s leadership needs to better reflect who we serve. Co-ops being formed in our region are increasingly being led by black and brown, immigrant and refugee, as well as poor/working class people. PACA especially invites poor and working class leaders with strong skill sets to help us grow our region’s co-op economy.
With this in mind, we urge you to get the word out in your co-op and identify individuals who might be suitable candidates.
PACA is leading the cooperative movement in the Philadelphia region. We hope that you or other members of your co-op will join our board to become part of this dynamic and growing organization!
